The simple truth is that Google and other search engines have always been changing their search algorithms. This will probably continue to happen in future as well.
One word that best describes SEO is change.
Creation Of A Site That People Love To Visit
The one thing that drives my attention is that the goal of a webmaster should be creation of a site that people will love to visit finding for their answers. According to people who stand behind Google, they also want people to be more satisfied with the results they’re getting on Google. So that’s basically the same goal.
Don’t Put All Eggs In One Basket
On the other hand there is social media. A collection of huge sites where you can connect with people and promote your content. Participating in social media is all about persistence and patience. In time, gradually, you will increase your social reach and if you connect with the right people you should expect that your compelling content will make them to love what you do and create.
Diversify Portfolio Of Ways To Drive Traffic To A Site
Look at Google in the same way you look on Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, advertising online or offline, etc. and divide your focus on driving traffic in many different ways. If one of them stop working you can always rely on others. You can’t count on one to work perfectly forever. As long as you create great content you can expect better search engine ranking for your site, pages and posts. But even with this being said it isn’t 100% granted.
The point of this post is that every webmaster should always consider diversifying portfolio of ways to drive traffic to a site without risking to lose a big percentage of traffic because of changes in search engine algorithms.
